Outsourced Finance Department FAQS
Can you work with our existing accounts staff?
Yes our team can work alongside your existing staff if you wish or we can provide you with a fully outsourced team.
Can we use our existing software?
We can use your existing software if it's up to the job....or we can give you 24/7 access to the market leading software we use without the high cost of purchasing it yourselves.
Do you charge by the hour?
As part of the sign-up process we agree a fixed monthly fee with you. That way you know your monthly costs are known upfront without any nasty surprises and you can plan accordingly.
Are your staff based in the UK?
Yes our staff are all based in the UK and all processing is carried out in the UK. Outsourcing is not the same as 'offshoring'.
Can you run our payroll and do our VAT returns?
Yes we can. Any function that a finance department would usually fulfill can be offered by us.
Do your staff need a desk in our office?
No. Most of the work we do is carried out at our offices in Stansted. We will of course visit you when required and can host meetings at our lovely offices here.
Do you work with struggling businesses?
Yes we can work with distressed or growing businesses.
Do you work with growing businesses?
Yes we love working with growing businesses.
Do you have any industry qualifications?
Yes we are ACCA accredited.
Are you insured?
Yes we have full professional liability insurance.
How secure is my data?
As secure as we can make it. We adhere to data protection regulations and have stringent processes and controls to keep you safe.
What happens regarding business continuity?
We were established in 1992 so we've been around for more than 25 years....and look forward to the next 25!
Its worth noting that an employee can leave at any time whereas Insight would have a contract in place with you.
Where are you based?
Our office is based in Stansted which has excellent road, rail and airport links.
Do you have overseas clients?
Yes we do. We have provided financial and administrative support to many sales teams based in the UK that have an overseas head office.
Can you really do everything a corporate finance department does?
Yes absolutely. We are always very clear from the outset what you can expect from our service. New clients are often surprised at just how much we can do for them and how much responsibility we take.
Do you work with sole traders?
No not usually. The level of service we provide is too in-depth for sole traders as that level of service is not required by them.
Do you work with start-ups?
Not usually. Most of our clients have traded for a few years and passed the £1M turnover bracket.
However...there are exceptions when we do work with start-ups when we know rapid growth will take place and they need to operate like a much larger organisation from the outset.
What is your typical client size?
Businesses with a turnover between £1M and £10M.
