Our Meet the Team series is an opportunity to find out more about the talented individuals that make up the Insight team. Next up in the spotlight is Natasha, our excellent Senior Finance Assistant.
An integral member of the team, Natasha joined Insight in 2016 as an office administrator with a wealth of customer service experience, gained primarily in the leisure industry. Since then, Natasha has worked her way up at Insight and excelled in each of her roles. “I am most proud of my AAT achievements during Covid.” Passing AAT exams are no mean feat without a pandemic, so we were glad to see Natasha succeed during such a challenging time!
The daily wins
Natasha particularly enjoys the variety of her job; “every day is different and there is always something new to do.” She also finds great satisfaction from those small victories that make a world of difference for her clients. “I really enjoy when I can help a client with a technical systems issue. Using our systems, processes and controls really do add to the overall success of all businesses we work with. All the little day-to-day wins make for considerable success.” However, Natasha does sometimes wish she could stretch her legs a little more – she says if there was one thing she could change, it’s “not sitting down all day and working outside in the summer.”
Clients come first
Clients are well and truly at the heart of Natasha’s work. “I feel I make life just a little easier for the clients I usually work with. Being able to take that additional stress away helps massively when the businesses are so busy with their day-to-day running.”
Life at Insight
Highly skilled in many areas, Natasha is a talented multitasker. A typical day for her includes “cashflow management, accounting journals, bank reconciliations, invoice processing and much, much more.”
When it comes to the company culture, she most appreciates “how understanding everyone is; the team is always supportive and ready to help when needed, regardless of how busy anyone is.”
A fun fact
You may not know that Natasha was well travelled from a young age. “I was a foreign exchange student and went to Mississippi during the Easter holidays when I was 10.” Speaking of adventures, if she was on a desert island, Natasha knows exactly who she would call in for help – it’s the one and only Bear Grylls, of course!
